Bakemark collects only what's needed to make the app work and sync your recipes across devices. No tracking, no ads, no selling your data.
What we collect
- Your email — only when you sign in to sync recipes across devices. Used for sign-in and account recovery.
- Your recipes — titles, ingredients, steps, photos, tags, and the dates you marked something as cooked.
- Photos you upload — recipe images you attach, and photos you snap for OCR import (handwritten cards, magazine pages, screenshots).
What we don't collect
- Location
- Contacts
- Device identifiers for advertising
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or third-party tracking SDKs of any kind
Where your data lives
- On your device — everything is cached locally so the app works offline.
- Supabase (our cloud backend) — recipes and account data sync here. Hosted in the EU and US.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — when you import a recipe from a photo, or use the natural-language filter ("quick vegan dinner"), the image or text is sent to Anthropic for parsing. Anthropic's API policy says they don't train on this data.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists, your recipes stay. Deleting a recipe in the app permanently removes it from our servers within 24 hours.
To delete everything, email sundaylabs.app@gmail.com — we'll wipe your account and all associated data within 30 days.
Third parties
The services Bakemark relies on:
- Supabase — auth, database, and file storage
- Anthropic — Claude API for photo OCR and natural-language filter parsing
- Vercel — hosts this website (not the app data)
We don't share your data with anyone outside this list.
Children
Bakemark is rated 4+ but isn't designed for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we update anything here, the "Last updated" date at the top changes, and we'll surface a notice in the app on next launch.
